There’s a lot to be thankful for when you can spend three days hunting with good friends, then bring home food you’ll share long after the season ends. This Thanksgiving weekend, our Nature Tracks crew—a mix of employees and friends—had that opportunity at Club ChassOie in Cap Tourmente, Quebec.

Our friends at La Cache Outfitters organized the trip, and the setting gave us every reason to settle in. An incredible lodge, a fireplace to gather around, and the kind of company that keeps a conversation going well past the point when everyone should have gone to bed. Hunting brought us there. Time together made the weekend.

Over three consecutive days, all six hunters reached their daily limit of six ducks: 36 birds each day, for a total of 108. To say our freezers will be full is putting it mildly. It was an exceptional hunt, and a harvest we’re grateful to bring home.

A big part of that experience came down to our guide, Alexandre Tremblay. Watching him work was a lesson in what years of paying attention can teach a person. He’s been calling ducks since he was 12, and that experience showed in his preparation, his timing, and the way he guided our group.

Alexandre was relentless in his efforts. He kept us organized and ready, and led us through all three days with a level of professionalism we won’t forget. There’s something special about spending time with someone who knows his craft that well. Alexandre, thank you.

A special mention goes to Alexandre’s hunting dog, Masey, who worked tirelessly alongside us all three days. Watching Masey swim through frigid water and stay focused on the job gave us a real appreciation for what a working dog can do. It also showed us just how much goes into the training: the discipline, the communication, and the trust between dog and handler. Alexandre and Masey were a team worth watching.

We also brought some work into the field. Along for the trip were pieces from our upcoming Spring 2027 and Fall 2027 collections, including waterproof and submersible bags, outerwear jackets, and bibs.

Everything performed exceptionally well throughout the hunt. Just as valuable, we came home with a few small adjustments to make. Three days of using equipment in the field gives you a clearer sense of the details that matter. Those observations will help us refine these pieces before they reach the people who’ll depend on them.

The trip didn’t end when we packed up our gear. We brought our harvest to Boucherie Joyal in Sorel, where the owner welcomed us like family and walked us through the possibilities: pâtés, sausages, and duck breasts kept intact with the skin on, ready for proper meals around the table.

Bringing home that much game means taking care of it. We’re looking forward to making the most of the harvest, sharing it, and having a few more reasons to get everyone together.

Thank you to our friends at La Cache Outfitters, everyone at Club ChassOie, Alexandre and Masey, and Boucherie Joyal for their part in a memorable weekend.

Three days in the field. Good friends around the fire. Plenty of meals ahead. That’s a Thanksgiving we’ll remember.
